Fireworks offers several new features to export vector paths for vector applications. For example, you can export vector paths to be opened in Macromedia FreeHand 8, Adobe Illustrator 7 or later, or Flash 3 or later. In addition, you can copy and paste a vector path into other vector programs.
When you export to FreeHand or Illustrator, the objects appearance of objects may differ, depending on whether a Fireworks feature is supported by FreeHand or Illustrator.
These features are not supported in FreeHand and Illustrator, and will not appear in the exported file:

Also, object edges are set to hard, vertical text becomes horizontal, and right-to-left text is changed to left-to-right text.
